# FAQPage schema is present

How the FAQPage schema is present check works, what a failure means, and how to fix it in the Answer Readiness dimension.

- Dimension: Answer Readiness (10% of the total score)
- This check: 3 points
- Check id: `faq`

## What does this check look at?

Parsed JSON-LD contains a FAQPage node. If instead the page uses <details>/<summary> markup without the schema, that is a partial pass.

## What does a failure mean?

No FAQPage schema. Note that this check reads structured data, not the word "faq" or "question" appearing anywhere in the HTML.

## How do I fix it?

- **partial** — Add FAQPage schema that matches the questions already visible on the page.
- Add 5-10 question/answer pairs and mark them up as FAQPage.

## Why is it worth 3 points?

Substantial, and largely mechanical to fix.

## What else is measured in this dimension?

- [Headings are phrased as real questions](https://geo-scanner.ccie13192.com/checks/qa-headings/) — 4 points
- [Headings are followed by a direct answer](https://geo-scanner.ccie13192.com/checks/answer-first/) — 3 points
